A Little Boy (who came of late)
A little boy (who came of late)
Behind the three who are now tall,
(He is so small),
All boy he is rambunction running, his subtle smile reveals what’s coming.
Then without warning he slows and mellows something else had caught his eye.
His energy peaks he lets out a tired sigh.
He questions things we often pass as normal things of a boring day.
And makes us wonder what is urgent to see, to do, to say.
Some days we wish he'd never grow old rearrange his thoughts, his mischievous actions
Divide his life into small measurable fractions.
Things accomplished and things well done.
And just instead be that wee small boy and enjoy himself our son.
